We need to tell our stories because there are survivors looking for this community.

You deserve a healthy relationship

As a kid I remember the strongest person I knew (my mother) falling at the hands of a man. I remember him telling the both of us that he would kill us. I remember the countless times I called 911 while hiding in the closet. I remember my mom feeling hopeless & helpless. I remember all of it but I didn’t realize I carried those feelings with me as I got into my twenties. I’ve chosen to break the cycle & create a new one but I had to identify in me the wound that needed to heal. I had to find the place space to be VULNERABLE! You can heal your wound as well by seeking help, sharing, & choosing to find real love through vulnerability. A great place to find that is with the “NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE”

They are ready to educate, assist, listen & love. For many, home is a place of love, warmth, and comfort. It’s somewhere that you know you will be surrounded by care and support, and a nice little break from the busyness of the real world. But for millions of others, home is anything but a sanctuary.

The U.S. Department of Justice estimates that 1.3 million women and 835,000 men are victims of physical violence by a partner every year.

The hotline is available 24/7 to discuss your situation and identify available options to help ensure your safety. Remember: no one deserves to experience abuse of any kind—for any reason.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, please call the hotline 1-800-799-7233 or visit https://www.thehotline.org to learn more. If you are in danger, call 911.
