WHAT'S A PERSONAL LIFE COACH?
A Personal Life Coach can guide you from where you are now in your life to where you want to be. Life Coaching is a new wave of self improvement and partnering with a life coach can help you see things differently, achieve things you never thought possible and make long lasting changes in your life. A life coach can take you from where you are in your life to where you want to be, whether it be in relationships, achieving goals both physical and mental, getting through the gap or gaining insight with a very proactive approach.
HOW DOES LIFE COACHING WORK?
Coaching will allow you to uncover your goals, focus on the steps you need to achieve them and release potential within you that you never knew you had. Each coaching session will give you the luxury of regular time and space to explore what you really envision for your life. This will be achieved through the questioning and challenging skills of the coach and will result in you setting yourself actions at the end of each session that will bring you another step closer to your vision.
WHAT DO I DISCUSS WITH MY LIFE COACH?
You talk about anything and everything with your life coach. What is bothering you? What is uncomfortable? What would you change about your life if you could? What do you want to achieve? How are others affecting what you do? What do you REALLY want to do and what do you REALLY want out of your life? When you give me this information, I am able to see behind the words and what is really being said. I can make you aware of things you may not be able to see yourself and give you guided steps to changing those things. ALL sessions are completely private and confidential!
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COUNSELING AND COACHING?
Counseling is often times conducted for the use of revisiting one’s past and finding healing from his or her wounds. The goal of Counseling is for clients to recover from their past wounds and move towards a lifestyle of healing, finding freedom from their pain.
Coaching is a method that looks toward the future. Coaching is for people who desire to see improvement and beneficial change in their lives. Coaching looks forward and asks the question, “How can we improve your lifestyle and meet your goals?” Coaching strives to make challenging goals and meet those goals by utilizing intense accountability and motivation. Coaching can be conducted on countless different topics, but it always looks toward the future and the goals clients have set.
Counseling and Coaching focus on two different time frames, Counseling looks at the past while Coaching looks at the future. Both Counseling and Coaching focus on how to make the present time a productive asset to one’s life. Both Counseling and Coaching have the client in mind, the ultimate goal is to enable clients to become the best that they can be.
HOW ARE SESSIONS CONDUCTED?
Sessions can be conducted via phone, Zoom and sometimes in person. During your sessions we will talk about your intent for that session for that day. At the end of each session, you will have tasks to complete, exercises to do or things to practice prior to the next session to keep you moving forward.
